Dear Customers,
In the year 2000, when I built a business model to ship to your door the juiciest, mouth watering peaches ... the peaches you can’t get in a grocery store. Projected cost of shipping a box was under $7.50. Well, things have changed...oil prices are out of control and infaltion is a lot more than the papers say it is. My present cost is around $19.80 merely to box and shipa dozen peaches. That’s a 264% jump in 12 years (most of this in the last five years). Fertilizer has quadrupled, and tractor fuel is 600% higher than the year 2000. Today, when I add the cost of growing the peaches and shipping, my cost is over $29.00 a box.
Regretfully, I can no longer justify or tolerate the price I would have to charge my customers.
With my sincerest regrets, I can no longer ship and offer my valued customers a fair price.
